In 1880, Don Andres Garchitorena bought a cogon land from Sixto Frias (alias Tandayag) and the place was later called "Ganadera de Pambuhan".

In 1887,  Don Garchitorena built a 'camarin' or 'almacin' (a warehouse plant) with its remnants still in existence at the corners of Matirez and Real Streets going to the Sisiran Bay.

In 1888, Don Garchitorena together with Martin Mina-Mijares and Enrique Valencia drafted and distributed petitions declaring the place "Pigbanua", an independent town.

In 1889, the place was proclaimed as a town of ANDRESON where Roberto Reyes (the Don's bookkeeper) was appointed town mayor.
